The Department of Medical Entomology, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) Vector Control Working Group (VCWG), Malaria Consortium Asia, and Dr. Pratap Signhasivanon SEAMEO TROPMED Network, organized the 6th Malaria Vector Surveillance for Elimination Training Course from June 23 to July 4, 2025.
The training course was attended by 25 professionals and practitioners in medical entomology from 7 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. Participants engaged in intensive training sessions at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, and joined a field study at the Ratchaburi International Tropical Diseases Research Center.
This course provided a valuable platform for strengthening capacity in malaria vector surveillance and control, as well as fostering regional collaboration towards malaria elimination.
