12th Philippines National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week: “Research and Innovation for Equity in Health”

Venue: CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Baguiocity, Philippines
This year’s celebration is hosted by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) with the Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC). With the theme “Research and Innovation for Equity in Health”,the event will provide a venue for different stakeholders to interact and contribute to research-based solutions, focusing on reinforcing health research and innovation in the regions and local communities. The conference proper will be on 8-9 August 2018 and pre-conference sessions are scheduled on 6-7 August 2018.
Provision of Technical Assistance
One of the major functions of the Network Office is to provide technical assistance to Member Countries, Development Partners, other SEAMEO Centres and to the three Regional TROPMED Centres. The technical assistance provided were in the areas of:
- Development and Implementation of Training Courses
- Curricular Review
- Organization and Implementation of Workshops
SEAMEO – Wide Activities
Discussion Forum: Development Evaluation
TROPMED Network as the lead SEAMEO Centre on Centre Mentoring Programme
organized a discussion forum on Development Evaluation to advance evaluation proactice on SEAMEO. The forum was attended by Directors and High Officials of all SEAMEO Centres.
Post 2015 Education Agenda Workshops
Officials of TROPMED Network Office participated in the series of workshops conducted by SEAMES in relation to the Post 2015 Education Agenda.
