On 19 May 2026, Dr. Sandra Tempongko, Deputy Coordinator of the SEAMEO TROPMED Network, was invited to serve as a member of the scholarship evaluation committee for the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD).
The scholarship evaluation was conducted via an online meeting, bringing together experts from various institutions to review and assess scholarship applications. As a committee member, Dr. Tempongko contributed her expertise to the evaluation process, helping ensure a fair and comprehensive selection of qualified candidates for the PCHRD scholarship programme. Her participation highlights the SEAMEO TROPMED Network’s ongoing commitment to supporting regional cooperation in health research, higher education, and capacity building. It also reflects the Network’s active role in promoting academic excellence and strengthening partnerships across Southeast Asia.
