On 28 November 2025, Dr. Sandra Tempongko, Deputy Coordinator of the SEAMEO TROPMED Network, participated in an online meeting with representatives from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to discuss scholarship opportunities and collaboration in higher education.
The meeting focused on the terms and conditions of the DAAD scholarship programme, including eligibility requirements, the application process, selection criteria, and available opportunities for students from SEAMEO TROPMED Network member countries. Participants also discussed the roles and responsibilities of each organization in supporting prospective applicants.
As the coordinating organization, the SEAMEO TROPMED Network will facilitate communication between DAAD and eligible institutions, disseminate scholarship information, and provide guidance to prospective applicants throughout the application process.
Dr. Tempongko attended the meeting on behalf of the SEAMEO TROPMED Network, reaffirming the Network’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening international collaboration through scholarship programmes and academic partnerships. This meeting reflects the SEAMEO TROPMED Network’s continued efforts to support human resource development, promote academic mobility, and enhance access to quality education and research opportunities for students across Southeast Asia.
